Description

These beautiful glass head marking pins are a remnant of old times. The first accounts of Japanese ‘Tombo-dama’ (glass beads) date back to the Nara period (710 A.D). With the arrival of trading caravans in the Edo period (1603-1868 A.D.), glasswork became even more diverse. These pins are made in Hiroshima, Japan. The glass is heated in a flame, and then shaped. The style of the glass heads is ‘Millefiori’, which translates to ‘a thousand flowers’. Each package contains 3 sharp pins with diverse motifs.

Cohana is a Japanese craft collective. They pride themselves on using locally sourced, high-quality materials to create beautiful tools for crafters and artisans.
