Description

Magewappa is the art of making a box by bending wood. The Magewappa Toolbox is made from thinly-shaved Japanese Cedar and Hinoki Cypress wood. This wood lends itself perfectly to be plied into this round shape and has a beautiful wood grain to it.

The embroidery hoop that encircles the lid can be removed to be used for another project as well. The dividers on the inside are removable, so the box can be used as one big compartment as well.

The Magewappa toolbox is designed by MOCKATS. They studied under a teacher from the birthplace of Magewappa, the Akita Prefecture. This way the high quality and the craftsmanship that goes into creating these toolboxes is maintained.

Cohana is a Japanese craft collective. They pride themselves on using locally sourced, high-quality materials to create beautiful tools for crafters and artisans.
